Window Display

One of the modules in my fashion design degree is fashion merchandising.

One of my favourite tasks so far this year was creating a life size window or store front display for a potential client. The display had to be replicable on a national or global label and had to suit the needs or aesthetic of the hypothetical client.

As is my nature, all my work must carry meaning or send a message. Therefore my chosen hypothetical client was one which breaks boundaries and challenges contexts:

ACNE Studios.

In the final layout, I played on semiotics and used the following imagery:

Chain: To represent the bindings of society

Pink Corduroy Pants: to represent bending the binary

Suit: to represent the expectations of society

The display extremely simplistic, inline with the general minimalism of Acne's aesthetic.
